Does time fly! It feels like just yesterday that I booked this trip and now I depart in exactly a week. NERVOUS EXCITEMENT! With time disolving as it has, there is still so much I need to do before I leave.
Currently, I’m working hard at trying to finish playing System Shock 2 which, if you have been following along, I have been producing game play-throughts which are available on YouTube. I need to get that series done and dusted so I do not leave viewers in the dark. I am making good progress though so at this rate, I should be able to finish it.
Secondly, there is still some admin which needs to be taken care of here but it requires a trip into town. Generally, people will try and find any excuse to stay out of town and that is what I have been doing. Alas, the driving schools head office is there and my Kenyan driving license is just sitting there waiting for me. That needs to be picked up. There is also some shopping which needs to be done before I go which can only be done in town. We have some fantastic shopping malls here but some select items can only be found buried away under years of colonial rule.
There is also the question of the final leaving party which needs to be organised. It is almost weekend and I have put no thought into planning any do. Poor form on my behalf. Will need to find out if Saturday is open or not and maybe do something then. Else it will be a quiet little evening during the week so that people can still make it to work the next day and not feel as though that have been run over by a truck.
Besides all that, there is actual web development work which needs to be gotten on with before I leave. Paul will be left with it but I need to try and get as much of it done as possible so as to leave him with the lightest load possible. He is a busy guy after all. Eish. So much to do and so little time. Installed Astrid Task Manager on my phone so that I could try keep track of everything and tick these tasks off as I complete them but the lists seems to be getting longer and longer the more I tick off! Doesn’t make sense! Anyway, back to the drawing board!
